The Directed Energy Test and Evaluation Capability (DETEC) project is designed to address shortfalls in our capability to test and evaluate high energy laser and high power microwave weapon systems. DETEC is a Tri-Service initiative, and is funded by the Office of the Secretary of Defense's Central Test and Evaluation Investment Program. The U.S. Army is the lead Service, and DETEC is being managed by the Instrumentation Management Office within Program Executive Office Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI).
